Gabrielle the Bellephim (Cherub form)

With the release of the newest chapter of "Heart and Soul", I introduced a new Dream Eater on Angelique's team. Gabrielle, being Angie's Dream Familiar, is special, even to her own "species". Unlike Dante's familiar, the Galephon Leo, actually has two forms. This "Cherub" form here is her default form. In this form, she's not very strong, but her defensive magic is tough to beat.

Inspired by Angelique's "angel" theme, Gabrielle is in fact named after the Archangel Gabriel. Mainly, though, it's because I couldn't think of anything better to call her. Well, that and I happen to be a HUGE fan of the "Supernatural" version of the Archangel. She actually can talk, but doesn't very often. She's kind of the opposite of Dante's Leo, who "never knows when to shut his beak".

So, for those of you who might not know, A Dream Familiar is a special kind of Dream Eater that can only be summoned by a select few Dream Eater Chimeras (the human/Dream Eater hybrids, of which Angelique and Dante happen to be). Basically, they're extensions of the Chimeras' powers. Think of them like witches' familiars, or the daemons of the "His Dark Materials" series by Philip Pullman. They can talk and have a higher level of intelligence than most Dream Eaters. And since their existence is directly tied to their masters', they're extremely protective of them.
